In Central Asia…

I think that this would be a great way for teachers to have their students do something other than making a normal power is to great a video like this one. this is a great way for students to learn because they are able to order the information in a different, new, and creative way.

Wow this 1st semester has gone by so fast. I feel like we have just started school. We as students have been through so much learning. From homework to quizzes, tests to projects. we have done it all. Many proud moments and some not so proud. I have found sophomore year to be a lot easier than freshman year. I think that it will get harder as the year progresses. I think that i will have to work harder the 2nd semester in order to get the grades I want. By far this has been a great semester.

In Geometry class,with Ms. Ernest,  I have learned how to identify certain types of angles and shapes. I have learned that there are many different types of angles and shapes that may look the same but represent different things. One thing that was especially difficult for me to learn was finding the perimeters of 3D figures.  Another thing would be understanding the vocabulary. There are a lot of vocabulary that can easily be confused. Eventually I began to understand the concept of everything.

In Biology, with Mrs. Tormey, had to have been the most interesting class this semester. I enjoyed biology very much this year. Although i had a very difficult time understanding the different parts of a cell and mitochondria jargon. The most important thing that was stressed in this class was memorization. Memorizing was the key to success in this class. I worked very hard in this semester and i successfully received the grade i wanted.

In English II, with Mrs. Gerlach, i learned a lot more about proper writing and grammar. I also learned alot more vocabulary. It was very hard for me to write essays and such. I still have a hard time writing a good thesis, a conclusion, an introduction, and organization. Basically i have a hard time with the whole writing process. I have especially improved on my use of grammar and vocabulary. We have learned a lot about British literature also. It wasn’t the funnest thing in the world but it wasn’t that bad. This year in English class was a very successful semester so far.

I would like to have learned more in biology. The whole idea of the biosphere intrests me. I dont think anything has really influenced my life. i think that I have grown as a student and my knowledge of things has also grown.
